Dwellings is a design/build firm based out of Bentonville, Arkansas, specializing in new home construction, renovations, and additions. We thrive in creating a sense of home and place in every project through the exploration of site and place, understanding the wants and needs of every client. We strive for creativity and smart construction in every project, large or small.

Our Team

Chris Milligan

Chris Milligan owns and operates Dwellings, Inc., a custom residential design and construction company in Bentonville, Arkansas. He has been in the building industry for over 25 years, in a number of different roles from carpentry to general contractor to architecture. For the past 12 years, he has been designing and building custom homes throughout Arkansas. Prior to starting his own design-build company, he was a Development Manager for a development company based out of Atlanta, Georgia overseeing commercial and residential projects in Georgia and South Carolina. Chris graduated from Auburn University’s School of Architecture and Construction in 1994, and worked throughout the Atlanta, Georgia area directly after graduation. He currently lives in Bentonville, Arkansas with his wife, Christy, and their 14-year old son, Brett.

Christy Milligan

Born in Bentonville and raised in Central Arkansas, Christy returned to the NWA region to attend the University of Arkansas where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in Dietetics. Christy loves being in the kitchen, and has a strong passion for cooking, baking, and promoting healthy lifestyles.

When her work opened her eyes and led her across our beautiful country to places such as Tennesse, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Atlanta, Christy was grateful, but realized there was no place quite like home.

In Christy's travels is where she met her husband and Dwellings co-owner, Chris. In Dwellings, they grow their shared love for all things "house and home". Between the two of them, and in their 21+ years together, they have lived in, built up, and renovated over 100 homes. Christy and Chris have a wonderful teenage son that they are proud to raise right here in Bentonville. In Christy's free time, you can find her in the kitchen, planting flowers, spending quality time with her family out at the lake, or out looking for new and exciting real estate.
